RIP Lux Interior
I love The Cramps, and I just found out their lead singer, Lux Interior, died yesterday.
You can read an awesome obit here. Or just watch this ass-kicking 1978 performance at CBGBs and respect the madness.
RIP Alton Ellis
Damn.
FOR 25 weeks in 2004, I’m Still in Love by deejay Sean Paul and singer Sasha sat in the Billboard Hot 100 pop charts. The song peaked at number 14 and was another hit from Sean Paul’s Dutty Rock album, but it also gave the man who did the original version his first ‘taste’ of [...]
RIP George Carlin
Dead at age 71. He’ll be missed.
“I don’t have any beliefs or allegiances. I don’t believe in this country, I don’t believe in religion, or a god, and I don’t believe in all these man-made institutional ideas,” he told Reuters in a 2001 interview.

Healey’s distinctive guitar playing style [...]

RIP Robert Goulet
UPDATE: NBC still sucks. Looks like this clip has been removed by yesterday’s men.

Because frankly, this sounds like a lot of people I know.

RIP Molly Ivins
Sad news.
Molly Ivins, the liberal newspaper columnist who delighted in skewering politicians and interpreting, and mocking, her Texas culture, died yesterday in Austin. She was 62.
Ms. Ivins waged a public battle against breast cancer after her diagnosis in 1999. Betsy Moon, her personal assistant, confirmed her death last night. Ms. Ivins died at her home [...]
