We’ve been hearing for some time that many people, particularly young people, count The Daily Show as their only regular source of news. I don’t care how smart Stewart is — that fact still scares me. It scares me not because Stewart is a funnyman — as he pointed out in his argument with Tucker [...]

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know that a bust of former KC Royals slugger George Brett was stolen — probably for some serious, serious cash. The missing bust was found in a cardboard box in a ditch.
Thank you, Jesus. Thank you very much indeed.
I’d also like to give a big shout-out to [...]

That’s what you get when you scramble the letters in Tie Domi’s name. Me Idiot.

London, Ontario, that is.
Waste management is a big story that will keep getting bigger. But in my town, the world’s dirtiest job is a soap opera.
The latest? Toronto Mayor David Miller has announced plans to buy a landfill site in London, to which Toronto will ship its trash. The plan stems from the failure of [...]

Prime Minister Stephen Harper called the recent Montreal shootings “a cowardly and senseless act of violence”. Nice to know that our P.M. isn’t afraid to take such a controversial position — that a gun-toting would-be mass killer is cowardly, senseless and, er, violent. Banality aside, what really irritates me is that I think he may [...]

Sometimes the Onion nails it. This is one of those times.
“From the wreckage and ashes of the World Trade Center, we have created a recess in the ground befitting the American spirit,” said New York Governor George Pataki from a cinderblock-and-plastic-bucket-supported plywood platform near the Hole’s precipice. “This vast chasm, dug at the very [...]
