Interesting footage of Sacha Baron-Cohen prototyping an early version of Borat. Originally, he was Albanian, and his name was Christo. And he wasn’t nearly as funny. Still, I ate this shit up, because I’m always interested in seeing how something marginally interesting can actually become funny.
It’s a bit like Jon Lovitz’s career in reverse.

I’m not sure I’ll ever get out to see this film (or films, it’s all a bit confusing) but the trailer is worth a look. Put on your headphones — the sound design is nice.
