I’m not sure I’ll ever get out to see this film (or films, it’s all a bit confusing) but the trailer is worth a look. Put on your headphones — the sound design is nice.

Looks like somebody told Faith Hill she was a shoo-in for female vocalist of the year at last night’s Country Music Awards. But life has a funny way of biting you in the ass.

Somehow, despite literally months of the biggest hype imaginable — online and offline — the film industry idiots still somehow managed to be surprised by the runaway success of Borat, which opened at No. 1 this weekend, pulling in $26.4 million U.S.
No, despite the preview hype, the phenomenal reviews, the millions of hits on Borat’s [...]

“Can I sue?”
I’ll leave you to read on and see for yourselves. The article features a copy of the actual talent release that participants were asked to sign. Interesting stuff. [...]

A nice piece from BBC News about the exact process by which Borat books and then dupes his unwitting subjects. It’s an interesting study in how people will go along with just about anything once they’ve been paid and the cameras are rolling.

Apparently Microsoft’s obscenely lame name for its Zune MP3 player is in fact, well, actually a bit obscene.
Now I’m not crazy about the Zune name to begin with. It sounds like a bad restaurant in Florida or a line of Sammy Hagar custom guitar pickups. But guess what? It’s worse than I thought:
Microsoft’s forthcoming [...]

It’s 7 minutes long, but it’s awesome. It’s really the last 30 seconds or so that are most interesting…
And I’ll say no more. Just watch. Very cool.

Why does Mike Tyson Still exist? Presumably so that even Michael Jackson has someone about whom he can tut-tut and mutter “Holy baby Jesus, what a mutant!”
The latest from the ole ear-biter himself is that he’d like to get in the ring with women. He implies that certain women boxers at the prime of their [...]
