Bloggerton is 6 months old

I just noticed that I’ve been doing this silly thing for six months. I wish I were able to post more, and more cogently, but hell, a guy’s gotta eat.
Check out the kung fu kicks in this clip as you raise a jar for your old pal Bloggerton. And thanks, as always, for reading this [...]

Consumers Bite Back

This is why I love the web: a guy finds a legal loophole for canceling his Verizon contract (they upped their text messaging rates by a nickel per message) without paying the $175 cancellation fee
He then explains how he did it on a site called The Consumerist. Then the article ends up on Digg, where [...]

That booth rental was a no-brainer — when people find out about this phenomenal product, these things are gonna sell [...]

I nominate Gerald Hannon

So-called “Citizen Journalism” will be a huge story this year — it was just heating up at the end of 2006.
Here’s news of an, er, interesting assignment:

VANCOUVER (CP) - Wanted: Sex trade worker with some writing skill to cover the trial of accused serial killer Robert Pickton.
Experience: Ability to tell compelling stories for no pay. [...]

Cool New Year’s Site

I’m guessing Mono, who built this, is an ad agency, because who else has the time or inclination to spend this much time and energy to build a Happy New Year microsite?
But it’s a great idea, and beautifully executed.
