This little Chevy ad from 1959 not only uses subliminal advertising, but makes fun of the whole notion of subliminal advertising.
As an aside, this spot is about 10,000 times better than either of the pitiful spots that Chevy bought on the Super Bowl — for a combined total of, what, $5.2 million for the media [...]

If there’s a better advertiser than Volkswagen out there right now, I’d sure like to know who it is. I found this just stunning.

I heard about this spot a while ago and didn’t think much of the concept. But I gotta say, it’s actually really well-executed, and a great spin on their tagline.

This installment features not a mouldy old music video, but rather, some of the strangest and most misguided commercials ever to worm their way onto WIVB, better known, way back in the day, as Buffalo 29.
That’s right, I’m talking about the twisted oeuvre of Tom Carvel.

I’m guessing Mono, who built this, is an ad agency, because who else has the time or inclination to spend this much time and energy to build a Happy New Year microsite?
But it’s a great idea, and beautifully executed.
