Sorry to be a Twit

So it’s like this: I’m conducting an experiment.

Over the last 12 or so months, I have heard a lot about, but have yet to determine any inherent value in, the web phenom known as Twitter.

But in my biz, it makes sense to take any Internet trend semi-seriously, at least until it proves itself to be utterly bereft of use or interest.

So I’m actively going to try out Twitter and see what shakes out.

If, as I suspect, Twitter is just another irritating means by which pathetic, underachieving sad-sacks abuse the Internet to over-communicate exasperatingly unnecessary information to a world that didn’t ask for it (see, for example, this site or this one, or this one), I will discontinue it. But you gotta play around.
