From the “where are they now and who cares?” files

Wow.

It defied logic when ’80s rock band Journey recently offered the job of vocalist to Arnel Pineda, a 40-year-old father of three from the Philippines’ Quezon City. Frontman for a Filipino rock and cover band called the Zoo, Pineda had played little more than dimly lit small- and medium-sized rock clubs in his homeland when he received the phone call that made him Journey’s third singer since original vocalist Steve Perry left in the late ’90s.

    Wow is right, I checked out the videos can you believe that there is even a Journey cover band!?!

    All jokes aside, its pretty depressing that any band would “search” for someone to sound exactly like the guy that sang before, I mean honestly why bother flogging another *lastest ever* Rolling Stones/WHO/Eagles/ show when you could just license the whole thing to some 3rd world cover (up) group, then you never have to wake up from your heroin and speedball addled high, and the show would be more energetic.

    Screw the fans anyway they never did nothing for nobody.
